Affordable Housing Project
Toronto Housing
In Environmental Design Special Topics, I worked with a group challenged to create affordable housing in Toronto, Canada.

Competition
This project had us focus on the Toronto Affordable Housing Challenge by Bee Breeder's competition series. There were no specific design or site requirements for this competition. Proposals were requested to be flexible, enabling accommodations for a variety of inhabitant types: single professionals, couples, families, or group living. Looking for designs for a pilot-phase concept for affordable housing, which could be carried out within Toronto to increase its housing stock.

Vision
My group's vision was a multilevel complex that allowed for multiple different sizes modules. Allowing for a larger range of family sizes to be included. There was also a want for both private and public green space in the complex. The staggering of the modules create balconies that are used as private green spaces and the fourth floor was a large public green space for the community.

Credit
My efforts for this project included making the renders for the final presentations and helping with the initial concept. I had to translate the vision that my group proposed to me and work together to achieve the concept that we all agreed upon, through the graphics above.
